When I was a little monkey, my mum used to tell me "even an over-ripe banana can be used to make banana bread". Admittedly, my mum was bonkers, but this was her way of saying is that every cloud has a silver lining.

My current predicament is a case in point. . On my way home from my travels I have I got caught up in the postal strikes. After finishing my supply of food and cider (I always have a hamper packed with me when I travel by post), I decided I'd better climb out of my box and find out what was going on. It turns out I am stuck in a sorting office, just north of Watford. Not an ideal situation, but I have my Blackberry and can keep in touch. The silver lining in this case is that I have met lots of nice postal workers and we are spending their lunch hours working on a new stage show, 'Postie: The Musical'. I am pretty sure it will be in London's West End soon, but for now it is 'one night only, in a sorting office near you (if you happen to live just north of Watford).

As your planning progresses, and you bump into the occasional inevitable cloud, do have a look for that silver lining.

LoveIt COMPETITION

I had so much fun with the recent dream wedding dress competition (congratulations to all the winners) I decided it was time to have another one. The lovely people over at SpraySun have provided this week's LoveIt prize...

Prizes

SpraySun has been voted the leading sunless tanning product in the US this season. It provides all the benefits of a vacation in a 10-second application, is easy to apply and leaves you with a streak-free, golden skin tone that lasts almost a week, making you look good and feel special on your wedding day! The winner will win a hamper full of Spraysun products containing:

1 Spraysun Ultimate Tanning collection
1 Ollie B spa manicure scrub
1 Ollie B spa manicure soft touch cream

This week everyone is voting on their favourite wedding cake , and all you need to do to win the SpraySun hamper is tell us:

Which is the most gorgeous-looking wedding cake?

Enter by going to this forum post and leaving the www address of the site where your wedding cake can be seen, and telling us why you choose this one. The winner will be picked at random from everyone who entered.

P.S. If you run a relevant business and would like to supply a prize for a LoveIt competition, drop me a note (margo@weddingpath.com) to discuss.

Diet Club

Losing weight for your wedding is a topic that comes up regularly on the forum. One of our members (take a bow, alanacohen) came up with a great way to help members inspire each other.

Once a week members post their weight loss (not their weight) in the forum topic and offer support for each other. It is way more fun trying to diet when you have others in the same boat as you! It is all happening on the Health and Fitness forum.

Hot Topic

This week's addition to my Hot Topic Wall of Fame is from MW. She asks:

' I've had very little thought on what flowers I want for the wedding and have our meeting with the florist on Monday. I don't want certain things (i.e. not a lot of green nonsense in there, no no no no no. I want a simple, yet stunning, bouquet) don't want gerberas, carnations and preferably not roses if possible, but I want a red bouquet and I need some purple freesias as well as some white heather.

GRRR! Anyone got any good website ideas? I've been trawling through a few and have found a couple that I like but nothing that is gripping me."

Have your say, and leave your advice here.

Book review

For a really fun honeymoon why not consider learning something new together? You could take sailing, skiing or scuba diving lessons, or even go on a gourmet cookery course.

Have a wonderful week.

Love and apples!!!
