When I was a little monkey, my mum used to tell me "even an over-ripe banana can be used to make banana bread". Admittedly, my mum was bonkers, but this was her way of saying is that every cloud has a silver lining.
My current predicament is a case in point. . On my way home from my travels I have I got caught up in the postal strikes. After finishing my supply of food and cider (I always have a hamper packed with me when I travel by post), I decided I'd better climb out of my box and find out what was going on. It turns out I am stuck in a sorting office, just north of Watford. Not an ideal situation, but I have my Blackberry and can keep in touch. The silver lining in this case is that I have met lots of nice postal workers and we are spending their lunch hours working on a new stage show, 'Postie: The Musical'. I am pretty sure it will be in London's West End soon, but for now it is 'one night only, in a sorting office near you (if you happen to live just north of Watford).

Losing weight for your wedding is a topic that comes up regularly on the forum. One of our members (take a bow, alanacohen) came up with a great way to help members inspire each other.
Once a week members post their weight loss (not their weight) in the forum topic and offer support for each other. It is way more fun trying to diet when you have others in the same boat as you! It is all happening on the Health and Fitness forum.
