Summer brides looking for a London venue will love The Deck, the new alfresco events space, now licensed for weddings, on top of the National Theatre.
High on the roof of the South Bank’s National Theatre, The Deck has an awe-inspiring view across London. From the gleaming ‘Gherkin’ in the East, past St. Paul’s in the City to the Houses of Parliament and beyond, The Deck’s new wedding and civil partnership licence is now available for the 2009 season until October.
The Deck opens onto a huge terrace providing a chic venue for up to 100 guests. Come rain or shine, wedding parties can enjoy the distinctive inside-outside feel and dress the space just how they want. For the reception, the National Theatre’s accomplished catering team, headed by Executive Chef Simon Flint serves an exquisite range of menus from elegant wedding breakfasts, to upbeat barbecues and refined canapé receptions.
For those with a flair for the avant-garde, The Deck also offers a host of unique and inviting extras including costume hire from the National Theatre’s extensive wardrobe. Set your ceremony in a bygone era or simply have a little fun and surprise that loved one with an unforgettable outfit.
