RECEPTION Grand Finale 4043 views
If you want your wedding reception to finish with a bang, fireworks make the perfect grand finale. For the ultimate wow-factor, Mike from Trelawney Fireworks shares insider tips on getting the best display.
Having your initials emblazoned across the night sky in a glittering cascade of colour is just about the most exciting way to bring your big day celebrations to a close. And as Mike from Trelawney Fireworks points out, it is not as costly as you think.
Beat the Budget
'Prices start at about £500 for an organised display', says Mike, 'and although you might be able to cut the budget by firing your own display, professional licensed display companies can purchase much more exciting fireworks than the consumer'. In terms of bang for your buck, there's a close link between the amount you spend and the score on the Wow Factor! Bear in mind that shells and barrages sent up high into the sky cost more per minute than ground level "pretty" fireworks - so try to get a good mix of both.
How Long is Enough?
An intense display of 5 minutes will impress much more and be far more memorable than the same fireworks dragged out over 10-15 minutes.
Location, Location
You need as much space as possible to allow for the "fallout area" for the spent fireworks in the downwind direction. Check your venue will
allow for this. You might also have to check with relevant authorities to make sure you comply with their regulations.
Pros Know Best
Professionals such as Trelawney Fireworks offer fully insured, professionally fired displays in compliance with Health and Safety legislation. Designed to suit your venue and budget, you also get a great range of packages and can even opt for a colour theme and accompanying music!
