They Met Samantha and Dennis proved that you really can find true love over the internet after they met on the dating site, ‘Match’. It was love at first sight and Dennis lost no time proposing when he bought Samantha an engagement ring for Christmas.

Wedding Venue Samantha and Dennis chose Broad Oak Club in Portsmouth for their venue as it came with Samantha’s father's recommendation. The couple admit that they chose it partially because Samantha’s father worked there and he knew the manager, which was helpful!

The Theme The couple chose to use the theme of blue and silver, and decorated the venue with lots of silver linked hearts and heart confetti. They also had blue table runners with blue and silver balloons as well as blue and cream pebbles in vases on the tables. Samantha’s stepmother added a special touch by making a fancy blue drape for the top table with a hint of silver in it!

What They Wore The bride wore an Alexi bridal dress with blue embroidery from Brides of Portsmouth. She accessorized with shoes from the Rainbow Club as well as a tiara and veil, borrowed from family. She also wore her birthstone, an aquamarine pendant necklace, given to her by the groom.

The groom wore a navy Prince Edward suit by Etiquette, hired from Brides of Portsmouth, with a silver Florentine waistcoat, a blue ruche and handkerchief.

The bride had two bridesmaids, her best friend and her goddaughter, who both wore Alexi bridesmaid dresses in desert blue with a silver sash and blue shoes, which they had dyed to match!

The Cake The couple chose a simple three-tiered cake made by Cake Magic in Worthing, which had two fruit tiers, with the middle tier of lemon sponge. It was decorated with ivory icing and indented hearts around the sides as well as silver ribbon.

The Flowers Samantha carried a bouquet of cream roses and lilies, which her stepmother arranged for her after Samantha was originally going to carry an artificial bouquet. The groom had a buttonhole of a cream rose whilst the bridesmaids had small bouquets of artificial cream roses tied with blue ribbon.

First Dance The newlyweds danced together to You’re the Best Thing by the Style Council as well as having a Rolling Stones tribute band afterwards!

A Moment To Remember Samantha thought that the best thing was marrying the man of her dreams and becoming his wife but was really happy about every aspect of the day.

Honeymoon The happy couple jetted off for a glorious two weeks staying at the Playa Pesquero Hotel in Cuba for their honeymoon.

Any Advice Samantha advises to, ‘Keep a book for any ideas, tips or thoughts you might have so that you can refer back to it later and make a scrapbook of pictures you like and might want to use on your day!’
