Real Bride Abroad: Body Beautiful 1377 views
Most brides-to-be put themselves under enormous pressure to look incredible on their wedding day. We want our skin to glow, our hair to look lustrous and our body looking super-toned too. Yasmine shares a few tips and secrets...
Through trial and error I’ve found that plenty of sleep, water and raw food – think fruit, vegetables and nuts – make my hair shine and my skin look radiant.
Body wise I’ve found the perfect solution too – a personal trainer! My local gym in Clapham, the Virgin Active (www.virginactive.co.uk), offers brides-to-be the perfect way to get fit and healthy for their big day: the Ding Dong Service. Brides (or grooms) are assigned a personal trainer to help them reach their goals in time for their big day.
Now I’ve only been seeing my trainer Claire for a couple of weeks but I can already see the difference in my fitness levels. Normally when I go to the gym I spend 20 minutes or so on the cross-trainer, do a quick stint on the treadmill and I’m out of there, but Claire has me doing all sorts – lunges, tricep dips and squats on the Powerplate. True, the sessions can be hard going but when your body aches the next day, and the day after, and the day after that you know you’re doing it some good. And do you know what’s even better? All that aerobic exercise clears the skin too. Yes readers in a couple of weeks this bride will be good to glow!
