If you are still sorting your pre-nups and want a pro view on what marriage is all about, Just Engaged by Christine E Murray (David & Charles, £9.99, pub. date 28th March) is the one for you. Written by a licensed marriage and family therapist, the book has just a bit of an American twang with exercises and strategies for a happy marriage... But, it might be give you a more realistic take on just what you are letting yourself in for!
On a more romantic note...Quotable Love by Milly Brown (Summersdale, £5.99, pub. date January 08) is a sweet little book of love quotations and beautiful photos. Get to grips with amorous offerings from the likes of Shakespeare, Byron and Barret Browning so that you can quote some starry-eyed sayings, like 'If I know what love is, it is because of you' Herman Hesse. It might come in useful for speech time or a reading at the ceremony.
And finally, get some colour into your bouquet with Tricia Guild's Flowers (Quadrille, £16.99, pub. date 7th March). Packed with stylish ideas that could be applied to your reception venue as much as to your home, the glossy hardback is a coffee-table must-have. Founder of the Designers Guild, Tricia's favourite flowers could be yours!
