It was a royal wedding but Autumn Kelly was as down to earth as they come. If you were at the Designer Wedding Show in Battersea last year, you might have brushed shoulders with her as she shopped for shoes. We take a look at the wedding gown collection by her dress designer to give you some 'right royal' inspiration.
The Dress ———————————————
Autumn Kelly's gorgeous silk gown was a bespoke design by Sassi Holford. Similar to Hayley, it was worn with a cute lacy bolero and had a fabulous flowing organza layered skirt with a stylish sash. The designer also made her veil in Swiss tulle with a lace edging. By happy coincidence, it turned out that it was exactly the same Swiss tulle as worn by Princess Anne at her wedding day. As something borrowed, Autum wore a tiara from her new mother-in-law, the Princess Royal - well who wouldn't?
Designer Spotlight ————————————
With a shop in Taunton - her home town, and another in fashionable Chelsea, Sassi Holford is inspired by brides. She says, «Brides want to walk up the aisle feeling their most beautiful, and the right wedding dress can achieve that. It has to have a little bit of theatre and the effect can be magical.» Her 2008 collection is classically elegant with a distint touch of romance created by French and vintage laces.

←Eva (from £2380) is a glamorous beaded lace gown with satin chiffon ruching and long soft tails draping over the train.
→Ruby (£1930) is a classic A-line gown with a duchess satin bodice, corded lace waist with satin belt and a billowing organza skirt. As the finishing touch, it is perfectly matched with an exquisite corded lace bolero.
