They met Ben and Elaine met in a nightclub and over a drink or two - love blossomed.

Wedding Venue Ben and Elaine tied the knot at Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire. “We really wanted to get married in a castle and fell in love with Clearwell as soon as we saw it! We also loved the idea of exclusive use with all bedrooms and a dungeon style dance floor. We could feel like it was our home for the day”, said Ben.

The Theme The couple introduced a Willy Wonka theme to the wedding by inviting guests with a Golden Ticket, hidden in a chocolate bar with a unique personalised wrapper. Chocolate set the colour theme along with pretty touches of pink, from pink chocolate roses for favours to scented pink tea lights. The couple also wanted their wedding to be 'different' and chose a Human Statue (Jason Maverick) which surprised guests by moving as they all arrived. Guests had been asked to bring their Golden Ticket to the wedding and after the speeches, there was a prize draw. The couple’s 3-year-old daughter who had been their flower girl, drew the winning ticket, giving the lucky winner a weekend away in a five-star London hotel.

What They Wore The bride wore a fairytale dress from Hollywood Dreams while the bridesmaids had chocolate brown dresses from Watters & Watters. The groom and best man wore tailored morning suits with ivory ties and waistcoats with the ushers in pink ties and waistcoats that complemented their chocolate brown suits.

The Cake Crumbs! created a fantastic cake layered with roses.

A Moment to Remember "It goes without saying that the best part was getting married and having all of our friends and family there to be a part of our special day in our castle”, said Elaine.

First Dance After dancing to My Girl by Otis Reading (click to listen) guests joined the newlyweds and partied in the castle’s dungeon.

Piece of Advice
Don’t feel that you can’t change your minds. We changed it so many times. We even bought four bridesmaid dresses and ended up selling them on ebay before we got the dresses we wanted. Also consider a wedding planer. Barbara from Every Detail thought about things we hadn’t even considered and put us in touch with lots and lots of suppliers so we could pick and choose. The day would not have been as well planned without her and her team.
