They Met Sarah and Paul started chatting on the Brentford Football Club chatroom in November 2005. They exchanged emails and it wasn't long before they realised they’d fallen head over heels in love. In March 2007, at a Brentford football match, Paul handed Sarah the match programme inside which he’d arranged for an article to be written on her that included a proposal!

Wedding Venue The couple chose a winter wedding in their favourite city, London. The ceremony was held at Westminster Register Office, with a reception afterwards at Browns Court Rooms in Covent Garden.

The Theme The couple chose a theme based on London, with an original red Routemaster bus to transport guests to the reception. Sarah and Paul carried on the theme at the dinner with tables named after lines on the Underground and tiny bottles of Gordon’s Gin as favours.

What They Wore Sarah wore an ivory taffeta gown from Sottero Midgely and shoes by Pink. Paul wore a traditional black morning suit from Moss Bros with a chocolate brown tie. Sarah’s maids had chocolate brown dresses from Coast and the flower girl was dressed in an ivory dress from Monsoon.

The Cake The couple had a simple two-tier fruit cake, which was designed and made by one of Sarah’s bridesmaids, and decorated with ribbon and flowers to match her bouquet.

A Moment To Remember Sarah says, “The taxi journey with Paul to have our photos taken was lovely and the tourists who took our photo and congratulated us on Waterloo Bridge were funny!”

Honeymoon In keeping with their winter theme, the couple stayed at The Ice Hotel in Lapland, followed by a couple of nights in Stockholm.
