Ways to enhance your weddingpath

Mixing practicality and fun, your personal weddingpath is a hub that brings together all the details of your wedding, enabling you to build momentum during the run-up, and giving guests an idea of what to expect. Once you’ve created your initial pages, why not try the following:
Find out who your wedding twins are
Once you’ve chosen your date, your Profile page reveals which other WeddingPathers plan to tie the knot on that same special day! To find out, make sure you’re logged in to WeddingPath, then, from the pink menu bar, choose My Links, then My Profile. Any wedding twins you have are noted in the bottom left of the page.
Visit the WeddingPath discussion forums
Pop into the friendliest wedding forum on the web to seek – and give – advice and support on all things wedding-related… and some other topics besides! You’ll find there’s a real community spirit here, and whatever you have to say, there are other WeddingPathers who are interested, so don’t be shy.
Check out some great news and features
WeddingPath’s NewsWire has load of wedding news from useful wedding-planning hints to a look at who is the latest celeb to tie the knot, it’s all here! If you have an insatiable appetite for wedding-related news and articles, be sure to check back regularly.
Start your WeddingPath blog
A blog – or weblog – is a unique online journal, and, as a WeddingPather, you get one hosted totally free! Accessible via your Profile page, it’s the perfect way to express your thoughts and feelings. By combining your own words with photos and fun smilies, you can document all the ups and downs of your wedding planning for others to see and you to look back on after the big event. Warning: blogging can be addictive!
Add an RSVP page
WeddingPath’s easy-to-use RSVP facility enables you to collect all your guests’ RSVPs online and be notified by email as they reply! For more information on setting up your RSVP page click here.
Add a YouTube video to your personal weddingpath
It’s so quick and easy to do. Your choice of vid could be anything from a comedy wedding dance to a song by your favourite band – whatever you can find on YouTube that you think your guests will enjoy. And, of course, once you’re married, you can upload your wedding vid to YouTube and link to that from your weddingpath instead.
Give guests a sneak previewYour guests will enjoy your wedding more if they have had a sense of the planning that has gone into it. Why not use your weddingpath to give them an idea of the menu they’ll be eating, the readings they’ll be hearing or the music they’ll be dancing to? Just add a new page to your site and label it accordingly.
Add some PhotoShare pages
Thanks to WeddingPath’s fantastic PhotoShare feature, your friends and family can help you build up a comprehensive set of images from your hen, stag and wedding day. Guests upload all their images to one place – your weddingpath. You won’t believe how easy it is to do! Log in, select the Edit My Site page from the pink menu bar, and all should be clear.
Add a WeddingMap

A WeddingMap gives your guests the ability to find accommodation near your ceremony or reception, the weather where you are getting married and the driving directions either to the venue or where your guests are staying. Even better, it’s all show out on a map for your guests as well. The WeddingMap aims to make your life easier for both you and your guests.
Include a wedding report
Once your wedding is over, there’s no better way to relive it than by writing your own report giving all the details of how the day unfolded and the emotions you felt. This report makes the perfect addition to your weddingpath, completing the cycle from preparation through to newly-married life!
There are so many other things that you can do with your WeddingPath page. To find out more information on how to use these features click on the Site help section and get a flavour of what else you can do with your own personal wedding website.

Your WeddingMap Page

Planning to get married in the UK (currently only UK places supported)? If so, an exciting new WeddingPath feature will make life so much easier for you and your guests. In one beautifully designed page, this great new addition to your personal weddingpath provides invaluable details of your big day.
What your WeddingMap Page includes:
- Your personalised map. The all-important address(es) of your ceremony and reception venue(s), plus a high-quality map plotting the location(s)!
- Driving directions. Clearly mapped directions show how guests – or the bride and groom – can get from the postcode of their choice to the wedding venue(s). Now there’s no excuse for getting lost!
- Weather forecast. WeddingPath’s instant sunshine generator is still a work in progress, but in the meantime you and your guests can keep an eye on the weather conditions in your chosen location.
- Accommodation finder. No more last-minute accommodation worries for your guests – the WeddingMap Page includes a handy list of currently available rooms close to your venue. Guests even get to see the hotels’ locations plotted on your WeddingMap! Once they’ve made their choice, all it takes is a few clicks and the room is booked!
How to create your WeddingMap Page:
1.) Log in to WeddingPath and go to Edit My Site as usual.
2.) Edit your Wedding Details page and/or your Reception Details page. If you supply a valid UK postcode for either (or both) of these pages, a WeddingMap will automatically be created for you. Guests can now access this new page from your personal weddingpath (it will be shown in the left-hand menu along with the links to your other pages).
Troubleshooting:
1.) Ensure you have entered a valid main wedding date on your personal weddingpath. For help, see http://news.weddingpath.com/newsdetail/30/216/
2.) Ensure that your Wedding Details and/or Reception Details pages(s) include a valid UK postcode (and that these pages are not hidden). Your WeddingMap Page will not be visible otherwise.
