ok, how many of your men use something for their skin?

I never used to, but now I get really dry skin (like really dry) so I have started pinching some of my wifes moisturiser. I need suggestions on what to get for...

1) Very dry skin on arms and legs
2) Dry skin on face, but under my eyes tend to be more oily.

Prefer not too smelly, and if it happens to help with eye wrinkles (laugh lines, of course) then that would be no bad thing.

Any ideas?

Hey Ant

For the dry skin on your arms I would just use some E45 cream, not smelly at all.

I'm afraid I can't help with the dry skin on your face as I have oily skin, but with regards under your eyes, you shouldn't put moisturiser here as the skin is thinner and more delicate than the rest of your face. You should only use products that are designed to be used around your eyes.

My h2b uses a face scrub from boots botanics, avoids getting any nasty ingrowing hairs from shaving, and he also uses a moisturiser from l'oreal's mens range that has got caffeine in so it's supposed to give you a bit of a boost.

hope this helps

Hmmm, Ant,

I cannot add to this, but I have to say- more men should visit salons and find these things out!! It becomes important when you get past the 'alcohol will preserve me' stages!! hehehehe

When you go for your treatment - always ask the girl what she is using, and why. Find the equivalant of that (or ask for samples!)

Hope this helps

My H2B is not a grooming kind of guy, he'll only slap on a bit of moisturiser if he's sunburnt or dry skin after shaving. I think its a L'Oreal matte moisturiser he has.

Need to start getting him to use moisturiser more often, he'll be all wrinkly by the wedding!

My husband uses the biotherm skin care.

He uses a cleansing scrub every day that gets gets rid of all the rough and dead skin which can make your skin dry and makes it easier shaving and then uses their aqua power moisturiser which helps balance it all out.

The same applies to you blokes as it does to us and if you use a moisturiser it helps regulate the oil production of the skin so it should help out with areas that over produce. But it may be worth you going and getting that checked out at a counter as the eye area is quite sensitive.

Make yourself an exfoliator scrub for your arms and legs from oatmeal and avocado (blitz the avocado with a little olive oil in the food processor and then add the oatmeal and apply and then rub gently on and then wash off) or you can get an exfoliating bar from boots or lush or l'occitaine that isn't very perfumed.

Or go along to your local department store and flirt with the lovely ladies and get some samples!

Hope that helps
