you could try searching for the places on the net and trying to find out some info on these places or maybe look at some broucure's from the travel agent or possibly even go to the local library and look at some books on these country. i did the same when i can to australia in the travel section of our library and i found some lovely pictures and info about different areas of australai so maybe that might an option for you. good luck

Hi Tash
We went to the Dom Rep last year on holiday in October and it was the best place I've been to yet!!! Only ever went to spain, greece and france before but you'd love it there. All the hotels are all-inclusive so you'll only need money for gifts & trips. We swam with the dolphins at ocean world and it was amazing. The weather is hot and you can do as little or as much as you like there. Either lie on the beach/poolside all day sleeping and reading or go jet skiing, horse riding, etc..
We did a bit of both and the food is gorgous too. We'll defo go back there in a few years. I wish I could send you our photos but need to get them scanned. I'll let you know when they're done.
I was going to try Cuba for our honeymoon or Jamaica. |

Hiya Tash
Well I'm just starting to think of honeymoon destinations now too and I get married just over a month after you, so great minds think alike!!! We've put a deadline as 1st Sept to book the honeymoon so got a few months to think about it yet.
When we went to dom rep in october we stayed to the east of the island in Purta Plata, the beaches do get better though the more south you go. We stayed in the Rui Merengue Hotel goto Tripadvisor and look up Dom Rep it'll give you a list of all the best hotels to go to and people review the hotel too and post their own photos on there. I always look on there before I book up a holiday to see what the hotels are like.
Hope this helps x x |

Hi Tasha, I've been to Dominican Republic two years ago and I loved it. It's hot and it has great beaches. The locals are very kind and make you feel at 'home'. Although I've never been to Cuba or Mexico I know people who have. For what I've heard, i would not advise Cuba, looks like it's not that good. MExico it's supposed to be really great. You have great beaches as well and the country that it's beautiful. Now it's up to you to decide. Joana

if you go to Mexico don't go to towns near the US border. Tend to be seedy and full of drunk underage kids from the US.
