I cannot believe it's been seven months since we got engaged and we have done so much for the wedding!! I think all the excitement has got the better of me, and I have got carried away somewhat....
Our Church was easy enough as it's our local one. A gorgeous and majestic building around the corner from our flat. Tim keeps commenting to cut costs I really could just walk it to the church
We have booked the date - Saturday 19th March 2011 and put down a deposit.
Next was the reception venue....I had already found this place even before I was proposed to. It really is our dream location. Although it is in Greater London it truly feels as though, you are in the countryside. Tucked away down a winding country lane - Oaks Farm is nestled between fields and a stunning golf course. The main part of the building is a converted barn. This is where we will have our Wedding Breakfast and then the dancing. There is also a bright and airy Orangery, where the bar is. Perfect for post ceremony drinks and for having a quiet moment or two. The deposit is all paid for and venue booked and we are so happy with it.
We went to meet one of the caterers there two weeks ago. We also saw the barn made up for a wedding and it looked gorgeous. We cannot wait to get married!!!
Visiting the venue again next week to show our parents. Hopefully they will love it as much as we do.
