I saw a great idea in a wedding magazine for wedding favours.... Sweets in a glass jar with a silver lid, they can be used as a place setting with a tag round the neck of the jar.

I thought this was such a fab idea and wanted to re-create it myself, has anyone else done similar who could help me find a supply of glass jars??

Hi

Have you looked in Ikea or Au Naturalle (sorry wrong spelling!!) Or any of the pound shops and you could paint or spray the lids?

Hi

I got some bottles from here

I'm putting homemade chutney in them and jellybeans in for the kids Thumbs up

They only cost me about £25 for 160 including posting, only thing is they have gold lids and not silver. I'm covering mine in fabric so they look like little old fashioned jam jars Wink

hope this helps

We have got pots from a website called weddings with sparkle they are like salt and pepper pots so come in sets of 2 they have silver lids with small holes in the shape of a heart on the top. we are filling them with powdered milk bottles to fit in with our black and ivory theme and looping the name tags round the neck so they double as place settings.
