LTV, if you MUST get a credit card, shop around and find one that is interest free for several months or has a very low rate. Credit card fees and interest charges are insane...it would be infinitely better if you had a friend or family member who could make you an interest free loan.

Here are a couple of good websites I have used for free, impartial financial advice, reading their info on credit cards, lending and credit may help you:

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com
http://www.moneywise.co.uk

All the very best, I am sure it will work out well for you.

Credit Cards really arent the way to go but if needs must! Barclay card was doing a really good one think it was something like 7% apr have a look on barclaycard website. I never had a credit card before and got one and then have ran it up a bit but it shall all be paid off just after the wedding and swapped it over to someone doing 0% on balance transfers. It just seems like easy money but if you can be sensible go for it!

Anyway got up today armed with list and going to see what I can get done starting with H2B's suit fitting this morning!!

Hen do next weekend Im sooooooo excited!!

I'm paying £36 for the gym at the moment which will stop after the wedding so if I have to pay £50 a month on a creidt card instead shouldnt be too much different. At least thats the way Im justifying it in my head lol

I know where your coming from i didn't want to go into debt as we were both students when we got married and had enough debts with student loans.

Do you have a student bank account? If you do they offer student credit cards which give you a lower apr for much longer.
