Hello ladies and gents!
Im new round here 
We got engaged about a month ago now, and are planning our wedding for March 2010, havent set the actual date yet tho
We are currently trying to decide where to have the ceremony and the reception, so we are having fun going round visiting lots of nice places at the moment
Our main problem is the number of guests we have that will need a room, so we have to look for somewhere with about 40 rooms, but I still want somewhere pretty
I have chosen my bridesmaids, and other half has chosen his ushers, and we have chosen maid of honour and best man
I have picked the bridesmaids dresses but havent ordered them yet as everyone wants me to give them a chance to lose a bit of weight first lol
and we have looked at suits for the guys, and are pretty sure we have picked them too!
All in all I feel like its going pretty well actually.......even if everyone I know thinks Im too chilled out about it 
So anyway hello everyone

Hello
I probably should have mentioned where we are looking 
We are in westbury in wiltshire and ideally dont want to go more than about 45minutes away from here
I am trying to get an appointment to see guyers house at the moment, that would be just about perfect for us
To give you all an idea, we have already looked at:
Leigh Park Hotel
Limpley Stoke Hotel - that we quite like
Orchardleigh - gorgeous but wasnt impressed with the extra rooms or the wedding coordinator 
Marsh farm hotel - well set up for a wedding but didnt catch me if you know what I mean
Beechfield House - we have arranged to be shown round this next week, but it doesnt really have enough rooms, unless they can recomend somewhere else for people to stay near by
And a couple of others that for the life of me I cant remember the names of right now lol
We have scoured the web for places and are running out now

If you find somewhere you love but it doesn't have enough rooms - look around the surrounding area's and see if they will do you a deal. Our reception is in a Town HAll so obviously no rooms there so we went to the hotel next door - and they booked all their rooms for the night of the wedding and the night before and will be knockign 20% off the price of the rooms for us.
As for the excitment you will find loads here so don't worry!!! you can relise it all here

yeah we are going to look into extra places to stay locally
Just quite like the idea of keeping as many people together as possible so that we can all have brekkie together the next morning
Everyone I know things Im mad having it is March 2010, they seem to think I cant possibly organise it in that time lol
But I think its plenty of time, I already know everything that I want I just have to get it all
I started making invitations last night, figuired I better get things moving as I am making all the stationery myself

Congratualtions, you are going to have the time of your life planning your wedding. I have been planning since January for my wedding in September, and that has been plenty of time

I am really enjoying myself at the moment
Loving looking at everything, and designing the bits and pieces I am going to be making
Oh and I have now managed to arrange for my nan who lives in canada to come over
Just coming for the wedding would have been a bit much for her, so instead she is coming over to stay for a few months before, then when we go to canada for my cousins wedding (and our delayed honeymoon lol) she will go back with us
