Hiya!

The band we've hired is costing £850 for 2 45min sets (I think) and that is about the cheapest we found when searching.We found them just by googling bands in our area and then checked them out when they played in a pub.

I was also a bit concerned about them not lasting all night, but instead of spending another £200 on a dj, we are putting together a playlist on the ipod of our favourite songs (those that he band won't be playing) so that people can still dance. They'll be taking their break when we serve the buffet though so there probably won't be many people wanting to dance much then anyway.
