To be honest I think any insurance company will try to wriggle out of payments and find exclusions where ever they can - after all that's how they make their money!

I have M&S too - looked around and their's was quite competitive. definitely worth it for peace of mind if nothing else. One of things you buy but hope that you'll never use/need. Wink

Yup likewise I already had mine with E & L when CC told me about her experience with them so praying I really dont need it anyway. Athough I agree insurance companies will always try to get out of paying out.

Like I said, I'm not trying to scare monger and I thought that E&L would have been ok (as far as any insurance company goes)

My main point was to research and research your insurance provider prior to taking it out - and I thought I had with E&L too Too rude.. - and ask really difficult questions and put hypothetical situations to them within the 14 time period.

One insurance company I approached (for purely research purposes for wedding insurance for a friend) actually said 'Oh, you've already booked the venue and date. We won't cover you for the venue or anything within that now. ' and 'you've already bought a dress? We haven't approved the provider so we can't cover x, y and z' on that.

It's just worth asking - if you are taking out insurance (which is always worth doing) - I just wanted to point out that asking questions and clarification BEFORE anything goes wrong is so important. Not everyone does! Thumbs up
