Hi everyone

I have been looking on the net at Cyprus honeymoons but I am finding smaller travel operators by accident - lots of them don't come up in searches. I just wondered if anyone has the names of any companies they have used for Cyprus, either those they have used or seen. I'm trying to get a load of brochures for H2B to look at.

we used thomas cook.... they were the cheapest by miles. we looked online for the prioces as they are way cheaper online,. we got a collection of all differnt quotes for the hotel we wanted ( Nissi Beach) and took them into the shop. They beat the quotes we had by a couole hundred pounds.

Hi there, again talking about Nissi Beach part of Cyprus, we booked there for our holiday/wedding/honeymoon and did a lot of shopping around.

We got some prices online/went in to travel agents - did the whole lot. we found the most effective way of going about it was to literally bounce off the travel agents.. i know it sounds cheeky, but you really can save hundreds.

We ended up booking First Choice/Thomson (think they're one int he same now) - who often come up pricier than others but we booked with an independent agent who beat all the quotes we had by quite a bit.. and this company came up cheapest for us.

Think it also depends on time you book/whether any promotions on... as they can all vary.

Co-operative travel can come up quite cheap at times. get some quotes, phone around and see what they can all do for you. put it this way - to show the difference in costs.. our first quote was 2100 for the same room, same week same flights... we ended up getting it for 1,600. 500 is a lot of money to save Thumbs up

Hi Soozee

I notice you're in NW London, like the ladies have said you can get good deals with bigger tour operators I just wanted to add that Cyplon are specialists in Cyprus/Greece and you can tailor make a little more your perfect honeymoon.

They're based in North London so you could even pop in to see them for more info I'm sure. I'm Greek Cypriot although born here, give me a shout if you need any info on Cyprus holidays i.e. best beaches, hotels, excursions etc..... not been for a while but after years of going you kind of get to know your way around.

Here is the link to Cyplon

Have fun searching!

Hi Soozee
Try Olympic holidays or Delta Travel both are Cyprus specialists. Alternatively I would not be afraid to book with a hotel directly and book your flight through Cyprus Airlines, this is how my family always travelled and saved lots of money doing so.

We've booked our hotel directly (Elysium, Paphos) and booked separate flights and saved about 300 on what the tour operators wanted.

Thanks girls for all your advice. We may well book directly with the hotel (shortlist of 3 at the moment in Kato Paphos) then book our flights separately. And when the Easyjet schedule comes out for 2009 we'll get those cheaper. We've never done a package before so are used to the DIY bit!

Just getting lots of brochures for H2B. Will let you know what we do eventually.

Thanks again Little Kiss Wave Wave

If you're doing it yourself just make sure you get good travel insurance and wedding insurance BEFORE you book anything!!
