Just wondering if anyone wore false lashes on their wedding day? I've seen some STUNNING natural looking lashes that would look fantastic for the kind of look I want.. but i have 2 issues...

1. that i'm in Cyprus with the heat (though not sure that would make a difference?!).

2. that i know i'm going to be a blubbering thing... do they last with all the tears?

I can't say i've ever worn them so don't really know the answer? any experiences would be welcomed! Thanks x

Wave hi hun, just about to log off but wanted to reply to you!!

I have ridiculously long eyelashes and have only ever wore the cheaper ones once for a fancy dress i must say they had staying power! my friends use them and they do look amazing and last all night.

However i dont know about the heat! maybe put some on and have a sun bed then go how and watch loads of tear jerker films see how they do!!

HE he!!!! sorry i cant be much help chick xx

I've never worn false lashes and they wouldn't suit me I don't think as I'm more fair than dark.

It will be hot in Cyprus and that and the tears of joy may not be the best environment for them - but then maybe they are made to last in any weather!!! Personally I wouldn't partly for the reason above but also what I'm going to try and do is not do anything on the actual day that I haven't done before otherwise I'll just be worrying about it all day. If you wore falsies a lot and were used to them I would say go for it.

I wonder if they'll look a bit heavy in the sun aswell.......I'm sure you will look beautiful with or without them anyway. Bouquet

Have you wore them before? I wore them once for fancy dress and all I can remember is them being very heavy. I'm quite lucky as I have very long eyelashes anyway. However you can get some amazing mascaras now that really do give the false eyelash effect and they are waterproof.

I have worn them for fancy dress in the heat and they stayed on. They were only the cheap ones too. Heart

I used them a lot in theatre school. The glue holds up fine under theatre lighting, so I'd imagine it would be fine in Cyprus! Most glues are waterproof, and I'd suspect that if you were getting the higher-end lashes it would definately be wasterproof - as long as you don't scrub at your eyes with a hanky or anything they should be just fine! Carry around a small tube of emergency glue just in case, though, and if you're not familiar with how to apply them ask your make-up artist for a quick lesson. They're dead easy once you get the hag of them.

I've not worn them before.... and do have quite long lashes as it is.. but with these (or even some individual ones).. they look sooo nice! It's not a definite.. but i'm having a make up trial at a MAC counter and their false lashes are meant to be fantastic and really natural (or not if you want to go other end of the range).

I might just see what they look like at trial... and perhaps compare it to a good mascara.

I don't really 'need' to wear them, but just saw a picture of a girl wearing them ad they looked lovely... not fake and over the top like some of teh cheapy ones do... I guess all i can do is try and see how they look! I'm sure the make up artist will be able to tell me about the heat and suitability...
