Unfortunately I am someone who has been affected by this but I'm grateful that only 3 of my friends have bought gifts via wrap it, so in terms of the number of guests who have been affected foe me it's pretty small. However with less than 12 weeks before our wedding we now need to decide what we're going to do in terms of sorting out another gift list. To be honest I was looking forward to unwrapping the gifts that people may have chosen to buy, but I really cannot spend the time to set up another list with another company. So, my idea is that people can give us money and then we'll spend it on the items which were already on the list which I've printed out. It's not ideal, but if we were to set up another gift list then we'd have to let our guests know the information all over again and I'm not sure that I want to do that.
It has been a complete nightmare and to be honest I had hoped that the situation could have been resolved, but it hasn't. I'm just grateful that it's happened now and not after our wedding and I really do hope that the couples who have been affected find a way to sort their situation out.
I'm actually quite surprised at how calm I've been throughout the whole thing- I just feel sorry for my guests who now won't be able to buy us anything even if they wanted to- a complete pain!!!
