Hi there,
i have not poste alot on here and have not been onthe forum for ages but i thought i would make a wee visit back and let you know how my planning is going..
After changing the date 3 times and finally picking Feb 2009 next year...
I have managed to get the Venue, band, Florist, Photographer, buy my wedding dress, favours, designed my invitations, booked and organist to play at ceremony and booked the minister.
My only problem is getting my attendants outifts. with 4 of them in the north of scotland and 2 in england. I have decided to split the dress fittings. I have to say that i cane wait cause i keep changing my mind about the colour scheme! Once i get that done i can finish off the invitations!!
It is so nice to see everything coming together at last!!
Anyway, i suppose i better get abck to work and actually stop surfing for wedding things!!
Susie

Wow - you've been busy, very organised!
I'm the same since we decided to get married, all i do is buy wedding magazines (cost a bloody fortune!) and am constantly surfin the net - for what exactly i dont know but go on for few minutes and before i know it its bedtime and i havent really achieved anything!!
Hmmm, let me think . . . so far i've bought my dress, flip flops (!), chosen hotel (not booked it but getting married in Bali), designed invites (made one sample i'm happy with but need definate wedding date before i can print inserts)
Think that's it, but gonna give it a break for a while cos while i'm enjoying all the planning i'm starting to find it so time consuming and its beginning to zap all my energy!!

Hi Sylvia,
I am in aberdeen too!!
Oh bali will be a nice and warm place to get married.
You seem organised too!! Why did you choose on Bali? If you dont mind me asking?
I have to agree with you there thatit does take up your energy thinking about things that you need!!

Well, we're on a tight budget and only have a year to save before we want to marry, so after a bit of research it seemed like doing it abroad would be cheaper. Have still to organise a date, flights and hotel (know what one want) and wedding planner though!!!
So, we decided we would like to go somewhere totally different, beautiful and cultural. Have always fancied going to Bali so that was it!
Never been, so that is slightly scary but have done a lot of research on a site called trip advisor though which has been invaluable.
Have started a scrapbook and been cutting out a lot of magazine pictures, glueing them in and writing ideas down in it. My partner thinks i have reverted back to 7 years old, but its great! Means i can now throw out my stash of wedding magazines!
Where are you having your ceremony?
