We are briefing parents, BM, Ushers, Best man to give us about a minute dancing on our own and then join in.....the whole thing looks painful and distressing (experience from previous weddings!) Dance

Hahaha that is exactly what we did for exactly the same reason Big Grin Thumbs up

Sus, seeing how you've stolen our register signing song Tongue out thought I'd suggest our first dance song as well - Rod Stewart's Purple Heather. It was perfect for us - not slushy, Scottish, not too slow and its just a fab song. Just thought I'd share Heart

HTB suggested Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac), need your love so bad, which is a cracking song.

Rather than dance on our own, we've suggested that people recommend songs for the playlist and we've published them on the site. We published that one as our song, and even though we won't be along, we'll know it's ours x

We too didn't have too long up there on our own, although looking back I do wish I was brave enough to have actually learnt a routine; hubby was well up for it!

Mind due he did learn to Greek dance for the day so I guess he was part way there in the preparation front unlike me, having grown up with it all it was so natural.

Our toastmaster did announce prior to our dance that after a few minutes into our song we wanted our guests to join our special moment of our first dance - it went well we thought - good luck ladies!

We had a really slow and slushy song and we danced together for the duration, apart from when we were having our photos taken it was the first time in the day that my hubby and I managed to steal a few minutes in each others company, when we weren't having to speak to everyone else.

I love my family and my friends, but I cherished every minute of 'always and forever' Heatwave

We requested 'Love Shack' to be the second song and it immediately filled the dance floor!! xxx
