i wanted to take the flowers to the reception venue, but we are not allowed.

they are going to be used in the Sunday service and then they are redistributed among the eldery in the congregation, which i thought was a lovely idea anyway, much nicer than us using them for another few hours

We have activity boxes for the children attending our wedding, they are coming along nicely Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I believe that sometimes less is more - we are saving money by having shallow goldfish bowls with black sand and floating ivory gerberas and candles - we are splashing out on ivory chair covers with black sashes to add the wow factor - sometimes lots of flowers on the tables can get in the way of a good conversation!

My venue looks a little like the one in the picture below, and this is the look I hope to acheive!

I have about 14 children coming to the wedding and I plan to get them colouring books and pens and anything else that might keep them occupied. I also like the idea of hanging pinatas from the trees outside - they will keep them busy for a long time!

If anyone has ever tried to get one of those things open you'll know what I mean!
