This seems like a really faddy way to diet. Some vegetables are actually better for you when they're cooked (tomatoes are a good example) and how would you ever get enough iron?

Eating out must be a nightmare as well. I don't think it would be sustainable for most people. Also - no wedding cake or champagne!

not that I'm against raw food (I have raw food days or weeks not infrequently, and eat raw everyday, if not exclusively) BUT

as a molecular biologist I have to say this article is scientifically crap!

enzymes are proteins that catalyze reactions. your body makes proteins (and enzymes) constantly... so no, you don't 'run out of' enzymes and no, that is NOT the cause of aging.

eat raw because it makes you feel good, not for some pseudo-science mumbo-jumbo... Wink
