I just don't know... whether it would be silly to walk down to witha song which has words.. i mean I'm sure people do it....there are some more traditional pieces of music....hmmmm... had a look online by doing some searches and there are a few nice pieces.......i have until next June to decide though I guess Smiles

hi girls, am new to this forum. Am getting married in Paphos in October, and I think I am going to be stuck with what songs to have, esp walking down the aisle. I dont think songs with words are silly at all. I was thinking of having Ave Maria, but the piece of music doesnt really mean anything to me.

It is hard to make these decisions! Keith?

i think you can have whatever you like. the thing is everyone seems to think you have to go with 'tradition'! you sooo dont! aslong as the place that you are getting married doesnt mind then no one else should mind. Jordan had whitney houston's 'i have nothing' which is a lovely song. i have thought about the bridal march, but that really makes me nervous/excited and makes my stomach flip Bleargh ...but then i think if i pick a piece myself i will prob cry Blush before i even get there!

very tricky...i agree.

Hi all!

I'm getting married at the Moon Palace Resort Mexico in August on the beach of course hehe! Me & h2b have decided on Savage Garden 'I knew I loved you!' its might seem tacky to some but it means a lot to us & I just know we'll both probably be in tears before I reach the end of the aisle!

Good luck xxxx

awww DEbs, that's a coincidence as one of teh songs we might have during the ceremoney (not sure which part yet!) might be Leona Lewis' version of that - it's such a beautiful song. I haven't heard the stereophonics version will have to check it out later when home from work Smiles
Are you going to cut in to a certain part of the song as obviously your walk will only be about 30 secs or something?

I will have to listen too it and find a suitable cut of point!

I went to Nissi Beach Hotel last year (my sis lives in cyprus) and it quite a long walk as you have to walk across the grass (careful with high heels) before you get the marquee! So will get them to start the music when they can see me at the top of the lawn!

I'm gonna email marious and ask him about music during the ceremony and ask him to suggest how many songs! I was just gonna have first time ever saw your face when i walked in and Eva Cassidy Songbird when we were signing the register!
