HI all,

We are off to Kenya for our honeymoon and was wondering if anyone had been. We are staying in resort of Nyali at the Voyager Beach Hotel.

Looks fab in the brochure and looking forward to going on a safari. Any tips would be great

Haven't been yet so can't really offer any help but we are going there on honeymoon too! I am so excited I can't wait!

Other half lived there for a while and I was in a neighboring country so shall enquire. How long you going for?

I have!

Went travelling around Kenya for a month when i was 16.

Its LOVELY!

Mombassa is beautiful...its proper white sand blue sea stuff!

The rest of Kenya is lovely too, We stayed with the Massi Mara for a few days treking with Camels and sleeping in the middle of the sarengeti-planes (i know i have spelt that wrong!!) with a mossi-net to protect us....

You will have a wonderful time!

yup I've been to Kenya for a few weeks. Nyali is great as is Diani beach.

If you are going on safari then Serengeti is definitely the place. We came from the Tanzania side where the Ngorogoro crater and Lake Manyara are breathtaking.

I'm not sure if you have the time to do all 3 but at Lake Manyara you can see Lions on trees chilling out at Ngorogoro is a little crater so there is all the wildlife in one place.

Not trying to scare-monger but just curious if all is well. Would hate it if anything happened to your honeymoon petal! Thumbs up

No I think they are going to Cuba now!!
The gorgeous Playa Pesquero!!
I told them about a regular member that used to live in Cuba-that may be able to help them out/give advice Wink

Hi everyone

Only just seen the latest posts on this. LC2B is right we have changed honeymoon to Cuba and the Playa Pesquero.

We decided that we did not want to take any chances of possible trouble. I am sure if it all dies down H2b will want to go there someday.

we are still hoping that everything will be ok, but we're not going till august 1st...... the foreign office still advises against all but essential travel to kenya at the moment. fingers crossed......
