Wave

We've never done valintines day before - ever, however I think my husband is feeling like we need to spend some time together because he's been away for 2 weeks (he's home on on friday Huh?)

We've made a reservation in La Tasca, and I know it sounds really silly but I have no idea what to wear!! or if I'm supposed to get him a card or a present or anything because in previous years we've just ignored valintines day Hahaha

What are you all doing for valintines and can you give me any hints Big Grin thank you
[Can't believe its not a dream]

We never do valentines day either. Last year as it was our first as a married we did buy each other a card. this year, as we are poor and spend all our spare cash on our kids, the car or at the garden centre i am giving him a kiss and he is giving me a cuddle!

Before I would have said get a card and a present but now, with being so skint and hearing on the radio how most people dont bother with these days I dont think it really matters if you dont get anything at all!

We are going to get each other one as it is our first married one together.

La Tasca is really nice! Its def an occasion that calls for dressing up!

Oh have a lovely evening!! I'm in the same boat as the rest of you i'm afraid, saving for a ewdding nad kids to pay for leaves very little left.. However, I usually make my H2B a card from the kids card and felt tips and stuff.. It took him years to catch on that money isn't a problem on valentines day and the one year he made me a card we had a HUGe catastrophy in the family so no one felt like giving cards at all!! This year I'm going to give him a kiss and a card if I get time to make one.

Last year I cut out a card heart from the back of a washing power box and covered it in in red paper and glitter and wrote a little message in the back. Cost me less than a £1 in all.

Have a wonderful evening either way, and I'd dress up too x x
