Hey peeps

I have a wedding to attend in June (it's my best friend) My husband is best man, and although my two boys aren't in the bridal party the bride has requested that they come in kilts, just not the same ones as the bridal party.

To keep costs down, I am buying my eldest son a new kilt, as the youngest already has one. I already have their white shirts, and plan to add kilt hose, black shows and a black bow tie. The kilts are blue, purple and white - heritageofscotland

Do you think I should get them waistcoats too? And what colour. Purple I really cannot find easily, and blue I can't use. I was considering silver, but I just think I'm bringing in too many colours now....

Black waistcoat? I normally see black waistcoats with kilts and they always look very nice.

Yeah, i'm starting to think maybe black myself, or ivory perhaps...but my boys and ivory just do not mix!

I can't afford to get them a jacket, and at my own wedding they didn't keep them on. I thought i would take a formalish cardigan for them in case they get cold

thanks ladies!
