Hi everyone,

I keep getting these sinus headaches and wondered if anyone had any good ideas to help relieve them. I have never really got them before. I keep taking painkillers but would like to try and find something to stop me getting them, as opposed to taking something when I get them.

Thanks.

Hey,

I feel your pain! I've had sinus headaches for the past few months and it's awful.

Sudafed is a good tablet to try, you can get different strengths-some with painkillers.

Also, if you fill a bowl with hot water and cover your head with a towel to inhale the steam that can really help.

In the end I went to the doctors to get a steriod nasal spray which helped a lot but I think you can also buy different versions over the counter.

I hope that helps! Have a Cuddle xxx

Steam but add a good dollop of Vicks vaporub to the hot water. Close your eyes though!

Was born with Sinus problems...various things can help but if it is continuous, your doc should talk about perhaps getting you x-rayed to see if your sinus' should either come out or your adenoids, which is where the pain starts

I feel your pain...I do. Painkillers don't always help - but even try having some menthol oil evaporating in a bowl of hot water in your room may help (over night, of course, and keep pets away from it! pmsl!)

Thanks everyone for your ideas. It seems like this is a pretty common problem!
