My dad had dissolvable stitches so it might not necessarily be a problem! If they are doing it keyhole there is only usually three small cuts to get the equipment in I think.

Fingers crossed that it all works out, I'm sure it will.

Glad you are feeling better Smiles

Most of the time the Spanish national health system can be great especially if it's for an operation or something serious. However waiting for an apointment to see a gyno could take 3 months!
Hope everything works out ok for you and your MIL2B

Just a quick little update, H2B decided to tell me yesterday that MIL's not having the laparoscapy, she's having it done where they go down the throat. Which I'm not sure if it sounds better or worse, but at least no stiches Smiles

H2B made me laugh though, he told me that and then said, I wondered why you were so worried about it and her having to go back after 10 days. Rolls eyes That, my dear, is because the last we spoke we said it'd be full surgery and you didn't tell me when you found out it wasn't Rolls eyes Men! Big Grin

So all fingers crossed and full steam ahead for Tuesday Smiles

hope all is going well hun.My h2b Darren had his gall bladder removed on 9th oct. he had keyhole and dissolvable stitches, but unfortunately his didnt go very straight forward. dont get me wrong, the op went fine , couldnt walk for a few days but 2 weeks after the op he was rushed straight back in with the same pains as he has had which they diagnosed as gall stones! (his gall bladder has gone!) we were obviously scared, but they think could poss be a gall stone stuck in the bile duct which has been passing? he has an mrcp scan on thurs (which is like mri) but i promise im not saying all of this to scare you. just want to let you know that his surgeon has said that he has only ever had one case like this before. so dont worry, recovery is usually very very quick (if via keyhole, if done as open surgery, think this is more like 6 weeks recovery) but im sure she will be fine. mail me if you need any more help hun. i know how worrying it can be!!!!!!
xxx
p.s sorry for the essay. i feel like i know everything about that bloody condition!

Thanks for thinking of us Little Kiss

Mel, sounds like H2B has had a hard time, but at least now it'll soon be over with. Have a Cuddle Thanks for posting, it makes my worries seem a little small in comparison to how it could be, if that makes sense! Blink I know what I mean. It should be straight forward, and as you say the chances of something going wong are so small, fingers are crossed

We'll know more later tonight how it went, we're waiting to hear from his dad at the moment.

We were talking at work today and my friend who got married a year ago next week, her hubby had an aneurysm 10 years ago, and it makes you think, don't take anthying for granted and enjoy every minute because you don't know how things will turn out. Luckily it was all fine for him, but it also made me feel like I was worrying about nothing in the whole scheme of things.

Sorry, now I have rambled and written an essay Aww, shy

Ok, update time. I have good and not so good news . The good is that we went and picked up our tickets today! It's beginnng to feel real now. They are e-tickets and are in voucher form... and we even have a wedding voucher. Big Grin

Now for the not so good news. MIL had the throat thing done yesterday and they only removed the offending stone. Why, I haven't a clue Blink and she was meant to come out today and go back at a later date for trhe rest. Well this evening FIL called to say that the hospital has now decided to keep her in today, and in fact will be doing the keyhole surgery at 7pm tonight. I have no idea why they didn't do it yesterday Blink But anyway, she will now be in until Saturday.

They are meant to fly over here next Thursday, but as yet we're not sure if she'll be able to fly that soon. So may be a case of having to join us at Heathrow on Saturday evening. But thats all hyperthetical at the moment. We'll find out more tomorrow. Fingers crossed!!!! Ok, time to Coffee and take a breath...

oh hun i hope all is ok.
sorry i didnt reply sooner, i hope everything is ok. Darren was told he was allowed to go back to work after 7-10 days depending on how he is feeling, so i think flying will be fine as long as she is not driving and can sit properly then should be fine! My fingers are crossed for you all, i know what its like without the bloody stress of a wedding on top of it, so i completely understand!

thinkin of you all, let us know how it goes babe.
Darren got his scan today...its all about the gall bladders at the moment! but like you say could be alot worse, does make you appreciate people and things alot more, and this is quite minor compared to your friends hubby so yes does make you thank your lucky stars. hope your also feeling better too honey.

xxx Little Kiss

Wave Hello

Thanks for asking. Good news, she had her gallbladder removed last night, she is all ok, and even eating. She should be allowed to go home tomorrow and she's been given the all clear for flying on Thursday. So everything is back on track. Phew! Smiles

How did Darrens scan go? Or do they not give you the results then and there? I hope they can do something soon. And the least painful option the better!

Thanks again for asking after us Little Kiss Thumbs up

hi!
so glad to hear all ok, i thought it would be as it is supposed to be quite a straight forward op but you never know do you!!
Yes scan was ok thanks hun, but no dont find out results for around 7 days.
so glad we have private health insurance though(i work for axa ppp healthcare) as he would only have just seen the specialist now and prob not have the op until next year! dont think i could cope with the stress of that on top of wedding!
good luck with all the other planning and im really glad everything is ok.
take care babes and now you can enjoy!
xxx Little Kiss
