i think oxfam have a great idea here. but like trash the dress there is an element of people not wanting to let you or do something to their wedding dress.

what do you think?

I think it is a very noble idea to give a wedding dress to charity, but there is something so special about a dress that I think a lot of brides want to keep them in case /if they have a daughter.

I'd wait a few years before considering doing anything with mine - it's not a decision to take lightly though I do think that I would like to be able to be benevolent enough to consider the bigger picture.

Doing the 'right' thing is sometimes so difficult.

Hm. A tricky one.

I would consider Trash the Dress as long as it didn't get too trashed, I love the idea of getting beach pictures and so would expect a bit of water and some sand. But even then I would keep the dress, I just couldn't part with it.

My mother still has her wedding dress (that she made herself) and I love looking at it, we got the dress, her headband and everything out a few weeks ago and it was really special to be able to see it. I want to do the same with my daughter someday (if I am lucky enough to have one).

I am keeping my dress, and i am hoping i have picked a timeless style so that if my daughter can wear it (if she wants to) i wouldnt make her, but would love to offer her the chance to!!!
