Hi girlies, i am sure that most of you know me as i have been a member of the forum for a while. A few weeks ago i found out that i am pregnant 10 + 3 and i am getting married in 6 weeks. I am already starting to show and was originally slimming to get into my dress anyway but now this has happened (i am over the moon btw!! we have been trying 5 years!!!)
I am sooo scared that my dress wont fit, i cant afford another dress and i don't know if it will be able to be altered enough and i am in a real panic. I lost 3 and a half stone which is why my system kicked back in and i have managed to concieve. What can i do???

how does your dress fasten hunny if its a corset back then you can go up or down a few sizes without much of a problem? if it is a zip then I would have a word with a dressmaker, you could always have a panel added into the back or the zip removed and a corset style put in if that makes sense.

it is a corset but it was at pretty much maximum when i last tried it. I am hoping that the modesty panel can just be extended and have it laced a little bit looser!! And there was me worried about my arms, lol. How was your big day Kirky?? I was thinking about you all day Big Grin

It was amazing and tiring and fantastic lol.

Try not to worry too much about the dress just eat healthy and take care of yourself you will probably find you wont put on much weight until the last 3 or 4 months. I didn't just had a slightly rounded tummy at about 3 months. I got married the first time round at 20 weeks and you can't notice anything, we allowed for me to have a bit of a tum but ended up taking the dress in a size the night before the wedding.

And congratulations on your fabulous news which will just make your wedding all the more special for you both.

Wave Firstly congratulations Boiiiiiiing and secondly are you having anything taken off the length? as the seamstress might be able to make the back concealer panel bigger using the spare. thats what she did for my bridesmaids, as they had to have the dresses made into corset backs (thanks to my sister!!!) so as they didn't have a panel she made one from the spare fabric. does that make sense??? if not they may be able to take the seams out slightly but that also depends how much spare material there is at the seams.

I have absolutely no idea sorry Blush

But it wouldn't be ideal for making the panel bigger. I think the problem you'll be having is because it has a longer corset top than most other dresses and the skirt actually starts nearer to the hips than the waist.... if this makes sense Unsure
