I have felt broody now for over a year. Does it ever stop, or will it only stop when I finally have children.
I love my husband so much but it feels like we have already spent early married life together for a long time. Even though we only got married August this year, we have been living together since 2006.
Im going back to Uni next year so I know its not possible to have childen now, but I just dont think I can wait 6 years before trying.

Yeah thats what Hubby says, that we are still young. Which we are, I turn 21 on November 30th. It just feels like such a long way away, 6 years. And thats when we will start trying, it could be at least 1-2 years after that before I actually fall pregnant. I know in the long run it will be worth it. As I am going to Uni to do my teacher training, so it makes sense to have children after becuase then holidays etc will be alot easier. But Im so impatient. And at the moment I am seeing pregnant women everywhere!!

i felt broody for quite a while but then it kinda dissapered so in my own experience, yes it does stop! i think once you start uni you will be able to concentrate on that more than being broody and it may just fade away.

I've been terribly broody for yearly 2 years now!! It goes away occasionally, like when I have an urgent essay deadline or panicking about how I'm actually going to pay the bills! I know it's utterly the wrong time to get pregnant- if I get pregant now I'll be about 5-6 months gone during my final year exams at uni and will look terribly out of place at graduation- and we haven't got enough money to support ourselves at the moment, let alone a baby, but I feel almost like I need the experience. It's worst when my friend brings his son to visit- I spent quite a while holding him and it felt so right. I was more comfortable than I was last year when I held my neice to be- we have photos of me just staring at her! I try not to worry or think about it too much as I know that it will happen one day- h2b wants 4 kids!- and that when it does it'll be the most amazing thing in the world! As it stands, I have to make do with h2b holding his hand over my stomach as we sleep!

I havent posted for a while, but for me...that broodiness never went away, I (well we) gave into it before our wedding. I'm now 24 weeks pregnant and although I've had to defer uni until 2010 (also teacher training) I dont regret gettin pregnant one bit because the broodiness got so bad sometimes it hurt to see other people with babies and I already love my little girl more than I knew was possible. However, if you can put up with being broody and hold off then u should. I do think Uni is very important and my only worry is will I actually ever return to university...I thought I would no problem, but at the moment I dont want to be away from my unborn little girl for more than a second, let alone go to uni 3 days a week, and more on placements.
Not meaning to lecture there - thats just how it's happened with me.
