Kiera would possibly be easier than Ciara in Spain as it would be pronounced more correctly but there is no K in Gaelic and I just can't spell it like that! When she's older she can spell it how she wants but till then I will just have to correct everyone for her... I'm used to it, here everyone calls me Olga which i HATE!

Ciara is such a pretty spelling you have to do it that way. My name is gaelic and nobody ever pronounces it right first time. She'll get used to it. It's a good way of starting conversations!

Oh mine is actually spelt wrong! It should be the Seona I use here, so it's pronounced Shona. But my parents didn't know how to spell it! Proper Scots Gaelic speakers would laugh at me as my spelling is actually a boys name. Blush

Although it's close enough to Seonaid, which is a girl's name, that I can get away with it.
