Wave This poem was written by an elderly lady that my mum met on a plane about 14 years ago. I always remember it but couldn't find the diary my mum scribbled it down in (she was like me, chat-chat-chat) when she was on the plane (and it's a scribble)

Now, I know we don't all get on with our mums, and I'm not posting it to cause any problems. It's just a lovely wee poem that some might want to pass on to their kids some day...

I think about my mother
Along time gone before
Thinking of her stories,
the same ones o'er, and o'er

But I listened with attention
For knowing all fine well
That the day would come
When I would be
In the same situation as well

So forgive me for the hard times
I have inflicted on you all
That forever repeating myself
must have driven you up the wall,

But these are the things that happen
When one is growing old
I hope you understand
That's why this story's told

You see, the brain is spreading
It's memory banks are done
So please put up with my forgetfulness,
And just remember, I'm you're mum.
