I got mine at about 18 weeks and the heartbeat was really clear then and a couple of friends of mine used their's from about 12-14 weeks and could also pick up the heartbeat (a bit fainter but still there).

It's easy to use, but you may need to be a bit patient to start with until you get used to the sound and knowing roughly where the baby is lying. It's also easy to confuse your heartbeat (quite slow) with the baby's, which sounds like a galloping horse! Thumbs up

Loving the pictures! My friend sent me her 4D scan when she was pregnant and when I finally saw her baby, it was EXACTLY the same as it was from the photo at 6 months. She's just gorgeous too! (And nearly 2! I can't believe how time has flown!)

Congratulations and keep us updated! Clap Bouquet

I really can't wait to meet the baby now and see how alike s/he is to the picture Big Grin

I had a glucose tolerance test for diabetes last week but it thankfully came back all clear. I also went for a look round the maternity ward at the hospital and although it put my mind at rest slightly, the whole thing is really playing on my mind now and I'm having dreams about going into labour and things!

6 1/2 weeks to go now and 4 till I finish work!

Not got it yet, post takes a bit longer to get here.

In the last 2 days I have definitely developed a bump. I bumped (!) into someone yesterday who realised I was pregnant without me saying anything so that's something. I'm smaller than all the other pregnant people I know (who are all less than me) But it has been exciting to see something growing. No definite kicks yet, strange movements that might be kicks or might not... 18 weeks tomorrow!
I have had weird dreams too - last night it was about a deformed baby with a huge mouth and no nose. Really scary. My mother dreamt my brother would have the wrong amount of digits and he was born with 6 toes and 6 fingers on each hand.He has bets with people and then takes his shoes off! (they removed the fingers)
Enough of the wierd stuff - glad to hear you are nearly there - you'll have to tell us all about it and can't wait to see the pics!! Exciting!

Hi Laura,

How are you getting on??

Last week at work for us both!!! Although you really don't have much time now until your little one is due to arrive.

Do you know if he/she has turned yet??

I saw midwife last week and my little one was head down at 28 weeks but has turned up and is now breech. Not too worried as still have 8 weeks for he/she to turn back.

Hi Susan!!

I'm finishing work today as I've got 2 more days annual leave than I thought Big Grin . I'm so glad as I'm aching so much and having trouble walking! I bet you can't wait to finish?

I can't believe the baby is due in just 3 weeks. Thankfully s/he has turned but is not engaged yet or showing signs of wanting to escape! Hopefully your little one should turn as well, I think they just like to keep us wondering!

Really not long for you either - are you feeling ready?

Hey,

Oh that is great news about your little one turning!!! I am sure mine will too (hopefully) Smiles

Oh wow just 3 weeks left, are you ready for your little one's arrival??

I am far from ready, although saying that I have 7 weeks left and as I finish work tomorrow I know I have plenty of time. I expect I will go over as well as it seems to be common with the 1st baby.

Oh dear I am not looking forward to aching all over, at least you have finished work now and you can start to relax and have a bit of 'me' time before baby arrives. Have you got any plans for the next few weeks??
