Yay you're nearly there! After only 4 months I feel like I've been pregnant forever and can't remember what alcohol tastes like!

Good idea to drink lucozade to get baby moving, must remember that although the other day I went to see the midwife and she listened for the baby's heart with a doppler but took ages to find it because the baby was moving so much. She said I'd be 'entertained' in the coming months!
Glad toi hear it's all going well, let us know how the last few weeks go!

Hahaha I know what you mean about the alcohol. I've not had any for almost 7 months now and had such a bad craving for a glass of wine the other night! I resisted though!

It's great hearing the heartbeat isn't it? Sounds like you have an active little person dodging the doppler! I bought my own doppler (a cheaper version of the midwife ones) and it's been so useful if I was ever concerned about the baby!

Hi Laura, where did you get your doppler? I had a look at some on ebay but tehy seemed to be for rent and I wasn't sure about that...

I would die for a rum and coke!

I bought mine from ebay. It's an Angel Sounds one, there seem to be quite a few sellers selling them. I think it cost about 20 (inc P&P) and I've been really impressed with it. I always manage to pick up the heartbeat (I don't use it much now as I get enough movement). Thumbs up

would you have the sellers link by any chance? I'll have a look now for angel sounds - thanks! Definitely worth it and you can keep it for further babies!! I'm sure it's reassuring to know that heartbeat is there!

Selina, sorry to hear about your uncles, I have seen the effects of alcohol (also on uncles and aunts) and it's not pretty. I've never been much of a drinker but I do enjoy the odd few drinks, wine or spirits, I don't drink beer. It's the taste I miss but it hasn't been difficult not drinking - I'm used to it because I'm ususally the designated driver!

OOOhhh I can't wait for it to arrive!! How exciting! Is it easy to find the heartbeat early on? When could you start using it?
