It's just a shame that she didn't want any more kids and yet still kept getting pregnant. She's very philosophical about it and knows that some people have problems conceiving, whereas, she has the opposite issue! Blink Unsure

Personally, I don't know what would be worse... Unsure

It must be really hard, because although kids are lovely you don't want them to just keep coming. And how can you complain about it? It makes it sound like you don't love your kids if you do, which obviously wouldn't be the case.

Yup, exactly. Luckily she is a person who is just so positive (I mean, 10 miscarriages?) and loves her children to death - she said she would kill for them, as I imagine most mothers would say, but I know she means it! Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha Ninja Ninja Ninja Ninja Ninja Ninja Ninja

And they are all just so lovely...I stayed with her for a week when I was moving, and I just loved those kiddies...so funny!

i looked into pay, heard that you get 90% of your annual salary monthly for something really short like 7 weeks after giving birth Eeeeek

after that it is a lot less. I have also read into the 2 weeks paternity leave the blokies get, apparantly that is not paid, a guy at work whose wife is about to have #2 baby said hes takingit out of his holiday entitlment instead so he gets paid for it!

on the pill thing, I have been off the pill since January as part of our preparation for TTC later in the year and since i have had regular cycles which i was really pleased about as ive been on the pill 12 years! (using other protection at the mo).

fingers crossed he gets a better job real soon and that the mortgage renegociation isn't painful

I think it is about 6 weeks you get your 90% of pay and then you get the maternity pay which is 117.18 for the other 33 weeks (39 in total). You can have upto a year off, but the rest is unpaid Sad

Men are entitled to Paternity pay but it only pays 117.18 a week - a lot less than most people get, so it is common for men to take the holiday instead. This is what my h2b did Smiles

117.18 sounds like very little to live on, is it just my pound to euro conversion? We couldn't survive, we really depend on my salary....

It is just 117 unfortunately and if you've already earnt over your personal tax free allowance for the year then you'll not even see all of the 117 as it will be taxed!

I've been to the GPs twice this week...I was very lucky though I must admit. I've got a major phobia of GPs, hospitals etc so I went on Tues and explained my situation, she suspected PCOS Sad and I was called back in to use their new scanning machine (its a health centre) on Weds - had a major panic attack as I've never had an internal scan or anything before. The found cysts on my right ovary and couldnt even find my left one...so I have to wait for my period for blood tests. My fertility testing seems to have began, we've been trying 12 months - anyone thinkin of going, make sure you go and put your foot down! We pay taxes for this kinda thing...I very rarely go to the doctors because my phobia is quite debilitating but a child is so important to us I really made the effort, despite it making me ill with worry.
