I am officially at the halfway stage of my pregnancy today! 20 weeks! All downhill from here.

hehehe. The best part is just beginning...All the kicks, the baby shopping, the excitement. You start to feel more energetic and you get a proper baby bump. It's wonderful.
The only part I didn't like was when complete strangers in the street would come over and touch my bump

It seems no time since you told us Orla!
Have you managed to get a scan date? Are you finding out the sex?
Someone at work patted my bump last week and asked if they could put their ear to it!! I jumped away I think and made an excuse, I cannot stand people invading my space!

I didn't mind close people doing it, my children, partner sisters and mum for example.
But people I had never met seem to think they can come up and just ask you really personal questions about your health, the babys' health and then, to top it all off, like to touch it......If you don't know something, they get really mad too, like the sex, or how long (in minutes) that you have left to go.
Bit weird for me. I wouldn't dream of doing that to a stranger....

Yep, people in work touch my bump all the time but then again this is one of the most touchy feely places there is. People used to look at me and then at my chest, now it's the bump instead! It's a bit off putting at times, people looking at your stomach all the time!
No scan date yet Laura. We will be finding out the sex if possible, people always do here, might as well know, there are enough surprises on the day really! And yes people get mad if you don't know yet, and how come you don't etc. Of course this is one of the nosiest places to be and people will stop you in the street to tell you that your baby is cold, hot, feverish, going to fall etc. I'm dreading that part because I can see myself having arguments with complete strangers!!
