lovely pic orla - i remember how exciting it is when you have your first scan
hope the sickness is a little better - it should hopefully stop soon
just remember not to keep your scan photo near sunlight - it can make the picture fade away. It will also not laminate (apparently, i have never done it) we photocopied ours so that we could show everyo58ne the photocopy without worrying about it getting ruined

Thanks for the advice on the pic girls, the first thing I did when I got home was to scan it into the computer in a new folder called BABY! Then sent it to my mum and the MIL and uncles and aunts to be. WE made photocopies for each of us to take to work today (my 3 year olds were not very impressed!) and the original is already in a frame and on the wall! Rhea I can't believe you felt kicks at 13 weeks! That's where I am now, but I suppose if you know what to expect you know what it's like. Thanks again girls for all the lovely comments, it's sooo great to have the baby talk forum!

i couldn't believe it either, i was really worried at first that i had my dates mixed up, but i think it was just because it was my fourth pregnancy, and you can feel things earlier on the more you have.
its great to see you so excited. sadly my time for having babies has passed, and i will not be having anymore, but its so nice to share exciting news.
i found i really loved my first pregnancy - everything was soooooo exciting and i was really happy. Thats not to say i wasn't happy with the rest but i had quite a few physical problems when carrying corey, and when i was pregnant with caiden i worked full time and had the first two to look after, i just felt so tired and stressed most of the time. it was one of the reasons i decided to get sterilised
and i have to say - the boys definitely kicked more than the girls for me

Wow, I could definitely see him/her kick on the screen in the scan. MAybe it's a boy so! Like you say everything is so exciting, yesterday was very emotional, we missed the neighbourhood meeting because we forgot about it with all the excitement!

Before I felt the baby kick, I hadn't got a clue whether I had been feeling it or not but not recognising it.
The first time I realised I could feel it was when I used my doppler (the thing that the midwife listens to the heartbeat with) and suddenly realised that as I heard the baby kick, I actually felt it! It was surreal!!

We finally made a decision on names today but I'll wait to know if it's a girl or boy to let you know. We might change our minds anyway!

We keep changing our minds about names! It doesn't help that my mum and sister are teachers and everytime we think of a name, they start telling us they have a little sod in their class called that so we shouldn't have that name

Hahahaha I have the same problem too! I associate every name with a kid I've taught. My sister in law wants to call her baby Hugo if it's a boy and there are 3 horrible Hugos in my class not to mention thinking Hugo Boss immediately!
I went to see my midwife today for a check up and hear the babies heartbeat which is not regular and clear. She also said that He/she is moving A LOT and will be a terror in a few months and possibly afterwards too!It was exciting again, looking forward to the first kicks in the next few weeks!
