Wave Tracy I went to Mexico in July for our Honeymoon and the weather was very hot, it did rain one day very heavily and it wasnt on for long but otherwise it was amazing. We were not in Cancun but at a place called the El Dorado Seaside Suites, I can highly recommend them, amazing food, and just pure luxury. We had a swim up suite .. I wish I was back there now. There are some pics on my wedding path if you want to have a look.

Hope you have an amazing time. I am not sure what it is like in August but I was told hurricanes are mainly September, October time.

Hey
We are considering this too in August. On another forum I read a recommendation for Mexico in August and the weather is normally pretty hot. It seems that if it does rain its for short bursts and prob only once or twice in a week. Seems to be a good and popular choice. Also, have been recommended to use Carribean Collection. Was told the prices are cheaper, but you dont comprimise on flights as they use Thompson/ Thomas Cook (I can never remember which is which) flights.
I looked them up online and they seem much cheaper than the equivalent sold on other competitor websites.
Good Luck, Sarah Cheers

Cozumel Island has very beautiful beaches, warm waters(even at nights is great for going in), white sands, great for snorkling and scuba diving(its one of the top places for coral reefs), place to swim with the dolphins, mayan culture, and it is only a 25 minute boat ride to the main land where Playa del Carmen is which is also a very beautiful and from Playa del Carmen to Cancun is only an hour ride in bus. People is really nice.

I went to Mexico in August 2008 straight after my wedding i stayed at The Grand Palladium White Sands hotel it was lovely i booked with Thomsons, the weather was amazing. Although i wish i stayed down in Cancun now because there is more to do down there and i wished we got to go to Coco Bongos but it was a 2 hour coach ride to it. The dophins were great so were all the excursions we went on. My friend is a manager of Thomsons and she recommends Sensatori Mexico hotel, you can book swim up rooms and they are amazing ive seen photos and stayed at the sensatori Crete so i know its an amazing hotel.....

I wish i was going back to Mexico its Fantastic x xx x

I've booked mine through Carribean Collection (as mentioned before on this site)

They were so so so helpful and have made a number of extra requests for us to ensure we have a lovely honeymoon. Another bonus is that it is cheaper than exactly the same holiday elsewhere.

We are going on 23rd August and staying at the Excellence Riviera. I can't wait - aaaaaaaaarrrreeeeeeeeeeebbbaaaaaaaaaa!!! !
