I've only just found and joined this forum, and have been reading the posts when I came across Seona's reply and it all sounded very familiar to me. THEN I looked at her other posts and realised that we had the same photographer for Trash the Dress! Yes, I also recall the conversation about washing the dress in the bath Smiles but remember that I was told to pull the plug and let it drain a couple of times in between cold rinses. Too late for you Seona, unless your dress is STILL in the bath! ;-)

You seem to have enjoyed your 'trashing' as much as I enjoyed mine; with no husband in attendance for me though Sad I think it's that really naughty feeling of doing what one is NOT meant to do in the dress that made it such fun!

My dress was a Maggie Sottero and it hand/bath/washed beautifully. One just has to take care with all the tiny little bits and pieces sewn on all over the place.

I'd recommend trashing their dress to any bride with a word of caution.. I know of ONE friend who had her dress ruined by such a session - that produced cr** photos to add a sting in the tail as the photographer was new to the game. If you're gonna do it with someone you don't know you risk either indifferent pix OR at the worst, ruining your beautiful dress into the bargain Sad
