Oh I love the idea!

You must give us pics when it is done! Having the train done means that if you wanted to wear your wedding dress again for another occasion then you could

Take a break do it once a year i think there is a thread on here already about it!

Hey you could ask the dressmaker for the cut offs and bits that don't make it into the jacket, and you could still do the box frame with dress background idea!
I was going to do that! My mum has a photo book of the day as well and would love a swatch from the dress to put in it.

I went today to get measured for my jacket. It's going to have a piece of my embroidery on the back, and two on each side at the front coming up from the bottom. Hip length, fitted under the bust and with slightly flared sleeves. So excited!

As it's right in the middle of wedding season my first fitting isn't until the end of June. I can't wait.

What a fantastic idea hunny! Its so lovely to think that you'll be wearing part of the dress again.....very special!

I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with mine Unsure - still considering although I would like to do a ttd at some point.

Can't wait to see final product! Little Kiss Thumbs up

What a lovely idea. I chose a coloured dress (sort of pale greeny-blue) because I couldn't bear the idea of paying for a dress that I would only get to wear once. As I'm a singer and do concerts and things, I can use evening gowns again, but obviously I can't turn up to sing Tosca's Prayer in something that's clearly a wedding dress!
